Budgam, July 15: Kashmir has lost one of its brightest literary stars as Shahid Budgami passed away at the age of 85 after battling illness.

A towering figure in Kashmiri poetry, he authored many celebrated works that will forever enrich our cultural heritage. His words resonated deeply with the land, its people, and their emotions.

Beyond poetry, he also served with distinction in the Jammu and Kashmir Government, retiring as an Additional Commissioner. His dedication to both public service and literature earned him immense respect across the Valley.

Tributes are pouring in from poets, writers, and admirers who remember his mastery of language and unwavering love for Kashmir. His absence will be deeply felt in literary circles and beyond.
