Pattan, March 24: In a remarkable medical intervention, a 4-year-old girl, Zanab, who had been suffering from a persistent blockage in her left nostril along with foul smell and continuous discharge for the past three months, finally received proper treatment at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Pattan.
According to her parents, they had visited several hospitals and clinics in search of relief; however, the condition remained undiagnosed, leading to prolonged discomfort and distress for the child. Despite multiple consultations, no definitive cause of the problem was identified, and her symptoms continued to worsen over time.
Upon her arrival at CHC Pattan, the case was examined by ENT surgeon Dr. Irshad Ali, who conducted a thorough evaluation.
During the examination, Dr. Irshad suspected the presence of a foreign body lodged deep inside the child’s nasal passage. Acting promptly and with great precision, he confirmed the presence of a frog-like foreign object stuck inside the nostril.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Dr. Irshad Ali immediately shifted the patient to the operation theatre. With careful planning and expert handling, the surgical procedure was carried out successfully, and the foreign object was removed without any complications.
Following the procedure, the child showed immediate signs of relief, bringing immense comfort and happiness to her family members who had been worried for months.
