Mirwaiz allowed to offer Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid

Srinagar, April 25: After four consecutive Fridays of restrictions, the authorities have informed that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will be allowed to offer Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar this Friday.

As per the Kashmir Bulletin Officials confirmed that no restrictions would be placed on Mirwaiz, paving the way for his return to the pulpit of the Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta.

“After four consecutive Fridays of restrictions, the authorities have conveyed that MirwaizKashmir will be allowed to go to Jamia Masjid to offer Friday prayers,” the office of the Mirwaiz wrote in a post on social media. (KB)
