Kupwara, Oct 15: Two militants were killed on Tuesday after the Army foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Machil sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.
Officials said that troops deployed along the LoC detected suspicious movement and opened fire, leading to a brief exchange of gunfire in which two infiltrators were killed.
They said a search operation has been launched in the area to ensure no other infiltrators managed to cross over.(Agencies)
