Delhi Blast: Gurugram Police Direct Housing Societies to Provide Details of Kashmiri and Foreign Nationals

Haryana, Nov 12: In the aftermath of the blast near Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed 13 lives and left several others injured, Gurugram Police in Haryana have intensified security measures across the city, directing all residential societies to furnish details of residents from Kashmir and foreign nationals staying within their premises.

The police said the directive was issued as part of a city-wide security review.

The move aims to verify the identities and backgrounds of residents from sensitive regions and overseas.

A police officer told reporters that the exercise was a preventive measure.

“We are inquiring about who has come from where and for how long they have been staying here. This includes residents from Jammu and Kashmir as well as foreigners. It is for security purposes and is part of a routine check,” he clarified.(KNT )
