LPG, Fuel Stocks Adequate in J&K; Prolonged Conflict May Impact Supplies: Omar Abdullah

Srinagar, April 2: on Thursday assured that LPG and fuel stocks in Jammu and Kashmir are currently sufficient, but warned that a prolonged international conflict could disrupt supplies in the future.

Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister said that the Union Territory has adequate reserves of essential fuels, including LPG, to last for the next 10–15 days. He noted that Jammu and Kashmir, like the rest of the country, has no direct control over global developments that may impact supply chains.

However, he cautioned that if the conflict continues for a longer duration and shortages arise across India, the region could also face supply challenges.

Referring to a recent meeting convened by , Omar Abdullah said the Centre has assured uninterrupted supply of essential commodities through multiple channels.

He emphasized that there is no immediate cause for concern and assured the public that any changes in the situation will be promptly communicated.
