J&K Legislative Assembly Autumn Session to Begin on September 21

Jammu, August 12: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has summoned the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to meet for its autumn session on September 21, 2026, in Srinagar.

The order has been issued by the Lieutenant Governor in exercise of the powers conferred upon him under Section 18(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, following a recommendation by the J&K Council of Ministers.

Following the summons, the Speaker of the J&K Legislative Assembly will finalise the calendar of business and sittings for the session.

The upcoming session is expected to see discussions on various issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir, including governance, development, public services and other matters of public importance.
