2 Killed, 2 Injured After Lightning Strike in Anantnag

Anantnag, August 13: Two persons were killed and two others injured after lightning struck the Gawran Nard area of Anantnag district on Thursday, officials said.

According to officials, the incident occurred in the Gawran Nard area, where four persons were struck by lightning. Two of them died, while two others sustained injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Faizan Ahmad (18), son of Mohammad Yaqoob Chard, a resident of Gawran, and Bilal Ahmad Battana (16), son of Nazir Ahmad, a resident of Redwani Gawran.

The injured have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Battana (15), son of Sai Battana, and Shareef Ahmad Battana, son of Jumma, both residents of Redwani Gawran.

The injured were shifted to PHC Larnoo for initial medical treatment.
