Massive Fire breaks out near Tulip Garden in Srinagar

Srinagar, April 01: A massive fire broke out in the forestry area near the Tulip Garden on Tuesday, prompting an immediate emergency response.

As per officials, The Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) received an alert at 3:50 PM, and within a minute, multiple fire stations—including those from Brein Nishat, Hari Niwas, Gawkadal, and Maharajgunj—were mobilized to contain the blaze.

Firefighters were soon joined by personnel from the Urban Forestry Division, the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC), and the 60 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF), forming a coordinated effort to control the spreading flames.

The firefighting operation remains ongoing as responders work relentlessly to curb the inferno and prevent further damage.

Officials have yet to determine the cause of the fire, and authorities continue to closely monitor the situation.(Agencies)
