Man dies after falling into gorge in  Kupwara

Kupwara, May 24: A 55-year-old man died after slipping into a deep gorge while collecting grass in the forest area of Beadi Teetwal in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday officials said.

They said that the deceased, identified as Mohd Rafi Tunch, a resident of Beadi Teetwal, had gone into the nearby jungle to cut green grass when he accidentally slipped and fell into a deep gorge. He died on the spot.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation has started. (JKNS)
