Srinagar : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is on her way to meet Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar — their first meeting since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.
This is the first formal engagement between Mehbooba and the LG in nearly five years.
Party sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that Mehbooba intends to raise several pressing public issues related to the Jammu and Kashmir.
Since the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, Mehbooba has remained one of the most vocal critics of the central government’s policies in Jammu and Kashmir. (KDC)
