Fake reports claiming Libyan pilgrim Amer Gaddafi’s death in Makkah viral, Amer al Mahdi Mansour al Gaddafi made headlines days before Hajj 2025 when the immigration staff refused to let him board the flight to Makkah.

Reports that Libyan Pilgrim Amer al Mahdi Mansour al Gaddafi has died while performing Tawaf of Holy Kaaba in The Makkah Grand Mosque are fake.

Amer al Mahdi Mansour al Gaddafi made headlines days before Hajj 2025 when the immigration staff refused to let him board the flight to Makkah.

The Afriqiyah Airways Hajj flight, however, reported some technical glitches and was forced to return seeking emergency landing.

After the maintenance and the needed repairs, the flight flew again without Amer al Mahdi Mansour al Gaddafi who was still waiting at the airport, refusing to go back.

What happened next is billed as a “miracle”.

The Afriqiyah Airways Hajj flight reported technical faults for the second time, taking it back to the airport for another emergency landing.

This time, after the repairs were done, the flight captain insisted on taking Amer al Mahdi Mansour al Gaddafi to Makkah.

However, reports suddenly appeared in the social media that Amer al Gaddafi has died while performing Tawaf e Kaaba.

After fact check, all these reports are found to be untrue, false and fake.

Talking to some Arabic news portal, including Zehra, Amer al Gaddafi himself refuted all these reports and said he is fine and healthy.
