Nasir Aslam Wani Granted Cabinet Minister Rank


Srinagar, Jan 24: Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has been granted the rank and status of a Cabinet Minister, according to a government order issued on Tuesday.

As per the order, Wani will continue to discharge his duties from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. He will also be entitled to official transport, accommodation and other facilities as admissible to a Cabinet Minister.

The decision formally accords him Cabinet Minister status while retaining his existing role as Advisor to the Chief Minister, the order said.
