US VP JD Vance has cautioned Iran against attempting to mislead the United States as he departed for key negotiations in .
Speaking to reporters before leaving , Vance expressed optimism about the upcoming talks but issued a firm warning to Tehran.
“We are looking forward to the negotiations. I think they will be positive,” Vance said. “If the Iranians are willing to engage in good faith, we are ready to extend a hand. But if they try to play us, they will find that the negotiating team will not respond favorably.”
