New Delhi, April 22: A court at the on Wednesday reserved its order on the interim bail plea of Baramulla Member of Parliament .
Rashid, who is currently in custody in connection with a case being investigated by the (NIA), had approached the court seeking temporary bail on medical grounds. He requested permission to visit his ailing father, who is reportedly on ventilator support.
During the hearing, the NIA opposed the plea, citing a confidential report and arguing that interim bail should not be granted. However, the agency suggested that custody parole could be considered as an alternative.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court reserved its order and scheduled the matter for pronouncement on April 24.
Rashid’s legal team emphasized the urgency of his father’s critical condition, while the prosecution maintained its opposition on security grounds.
