LG Manoj Sinha Visits Family of Slain Head Constable Ashiq Hussain in Beerwah, Assures Full Support

Beerwah, July 24: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday visited the residence of slain Head Constable Ashiq Hussain at Lolipora in Beerwah to offer condolences to the bereaved family. Head Constable Ashiq Hussain was killed in the recent militant attack in Anantnag while performing his official duties.

The Lieutenant Governor expressed deep sympathy with the family and assured them that the Jammu and Kashmir Administration stands firmly with them during this difficult time and will extend every possible assistance.

Paying tribute to the fallen policeman, LG Sinha lauded his courage, dedication and supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. He also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

The Lieutenant Governor was accompanied by Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi, DIG Central Kashmir Rajiv Omprakash Pandey, SSP Budgam Hariprasad K.K., and Deputy Commissioner Budgam Athar Aamir Khan.

Head Constable Ashiq Hussain was shot dead at point-blank range by unidentified militants while on duty in the Lal Chowk area of Anantnag on Wednesday.
