MMU Meeting on Waqf Amendment Bill Rescheduled to April 9

Srinagar, Apr 5 (KNS): The Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) has rescheduled its upcoming meeting, originally set for Monday, April 7, 2025, at Mirwaiz Manzil, Nigeen. The meeting will now be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

According to MMU sources, the decision was made in light of the Union Home Minister’s scheduled visit to Kashmir on April 7. Given the security arrangements and potential restrictions associated with the high-profile visit, it was anticipated that authorities may not allow the meeting to take place on the same day.

The meeting is set to deliberate on the Waqf Amendment Bill, and MMU has requested all its members to ensure their presence and active participation in this important gathering. (KNS)
