Northern Army Commander visiting Srinagar shortly to review security situation

Srinagar, Apr 22: Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Suchendra Kumar is visiting Srinagar shortly to review security situation, defence sources said.

They said the army commander will be briefed by local formation commanders on the present security situation in Kashmir valley.
He was in New Delhi for a security conference.

It is pertinent to mention that Home Minister Amit Shah is also visiting Kashmir shortly to take stock of prevailing security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The visit of high profile political political leaders and army officers to Valley comes after militants attack tourists in Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag.
