Budgam, 27 June: The Peoples Democratic Party Leader and 27- Budgam constituency Incharge Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi on Friday ruled out joining the National Conferance and dismissed as baseless a media report in this regard.
This news being peddled by certain so-called journalists is nothing but a blatant lie, driven by malicious intent to mislead the people of Jammu and Kashmir in general and particularly Budgam , Aga Syed Muntazir said.
In a statement Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi aim of joining PDP was to play role in these challenging times and not for power.
How can I join NC who since day one has ridiculed People of Jammu and Kashmir and people of Budgam in particular ? The same party have role on the assassination of my uncle?.
If this fabricated story is not retracted immediately, accompanied by a public apology, we reserve the right to take legal action against those responsible for tarnishing our image and misleading the public. Let this be a warning: such dishonest journalism will not be tolerated,” the PDP leader said .(KNS)
