Kulgam, July 03: Residents of town A( Reshipora)in District kulgam, has been reeling under a severe water crisis for the past several days, leaving residents distressed amid ongoing heatwave.
Locals told that the water shortage has disrupted normal life in town, with even mosques unable to function properly. Women in the area have been particularly burdened, as they resort to carrying water from distant sources.
Locals alleged that although we have informed Concern AEE PHE Division Kulgam and his employee but unfortunately neither AEE Concern nor his Employees are taking any Public Issue Seriously , locals Said that heatwave is not only in main kulgam but it’s is common and in every Part of Kashmir Valley but in kulgam Public is Suffer Badly Particularly Locals of Reshipora.
However it is said that you there is leakage in Main pipe line at Chawalgam by which water goes waste and supply of water didn’t reach to in main town , but department takes it lightly and didn’t work on ground level to stop the leakage
Locals have called on authorities to take immediate measures to restore the water supply and alleviate their hardships during these harsh heatwave conditions.
Meanwhile Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Kulgam Ishfaq hameed assured that he will redress the Public issues and grievances on Priority basis.
