Laughter king of Kashmir ‘Bashir Kotur’ Passes Away

Srinagar, July 28: Renowned Kashmiri comedian Bashir Kotur has passed away at his residence, a day after being discharged from the hospital. The veteran artist had been battling stomach cancer, liver damage, and gall bladder complications, according to family sources.

Bashir had recently been admitted to the ICU in serious condition.

Despite being discharged from the hospital yesterday, his health deteriorated rapidly, and he succumbed at home earlier today.

Bashir Kotur was widely loved for his wit, cultural satire, and decades-long contribution to Kashmiri entertainment.

Tributes have begun pouring in from fellow artists, public figures, and admirers across the region.(Agencies )
