New Delhi, Aug 4: A high-meeting is currently underway in the national capital as National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, accompanied by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and Director of Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka, meets Union Home Minister Amit Shah to assess internal security matters.
Sources told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the meeting is expected to cover the current security dynamics.
Meanwhile, officials from new Delhi told Kashmir Dot Com that a meeting of the NDA Parliamentary Party has been convened for tomorrow, Tuesday, August 5, at 9:30 a.m. in the G.M.C. Balayogi Auditorium of the Parliament Library Building. The notice, issued by Dr. Shiv Shakti Nath Bakshi, Office Secretary, calls upon all NDA Members of Parliament from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to attend the session.
It comes on the sixth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, a key constitutional and political development that ended Jammu and Kashmir’s special status in 2019.
The Centre has maintained that the region is more stable and integrated post-abrogation, but sporadic incidents and continued counter-terror operations — including recent incidents in south Kashmir— keep the security apparatus on high alert. (KDC)
