Two Militants Killed as Army Foils Infiltration Bid in Gurez Sector

Gurez, Aug 28: Two militants were killed on Thursday after the Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) near Naushehra Nard in the Gurez sector of north Kashmir.

Officials said that the militants were attempting to sneak into this side of the LoC when they were intercepted by alert troops. In the ensuing exchange of fire, both infiltrators were killed.

The identity and group affiliation of the slain militants are yet to be ascertained. Security forces have launched a massive search operation in the area to rule out the presence of more infiltrators.
