“I Swear on the Holy Quran, I Never Sought Alliance with BJP”: CM Omar Abdullah

Srinagar, Nov 9 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday firmly rejected allegations that he sought an alliance with the BJP in 2024, stating that such claims were “completely false.”

In a post on X, CM Omar as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC said, “I swear on the Holy Quran that I didn’t seek an alliance with the BJP in 2024 for Statehood or for any other reason.”
He further added, “Unlike Sunil Sharma, I don’t tell lies for a living.”

CM Omar’s remarks came in response to a statement by Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, who had challenged him to “swear on the Quran” that he did not approach the BJP for an alliance in 2024. (KNC)
