US VP JD Vance has cautioned Iran against attempting to mislead the United States as he departed for key negotiations in .

Speaking to reporters before leaving , Vance expressed optimism about the upcoming talks but issued a firm warning to Tehran.

“We are looking forward to the negotiations. I think they will be positive,” Vance said. “If the Iranians are willing to engage in good faith, we are ready to extend a hand. But if they try to play us, they will find that the negotiating team will not respond favorably.”

The talks, scheduled to take place in Pakistan, are seen as an important step toward easing tensions and exploring diplomatic solutions between the two sides.
