Parked vehicles damaged as wall collapses at JLNM hospital Rainawari amid rains

Srinagar, Mar 15: A part of the boundary wall of JLNM Hospital Rainawari collapsed today amidst incessant rains, damaging many vehicles parked inside the hospital premises. The wall separating Malkhah Rainawari and JLNM Hospital collapsed amid incessant rains in the valley.

The Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr Tariq Jan, said the wall was old and stood on loose ground due to extraction of soil from the Malkhah side.”It was an old wall, the soil was also loose and the rains have not stopped for a week,” he added.

He said no damage to any life took place due to the incident. “We shall be starting the process of a new wall soon after getting the requisite approvals,” he said.The damaged vehicles belonged mostly to the hospital staff.(Agencies)
