PM Modi to Review Preparedness Amid Iran War, Will Speak to Chief Ministers Tomorrow

New Delhi, March 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a video conference with the Chief Ministers of all states and Union Territories at 6:30 pm tomorrow to review the evolving situation in West Asia and assess its potential impact on India.

According to official sources, the meeting will focus on preparedness measures, particularly in relation to supply chains, energy security, and the safety of Indian citizens abroad amid rising tensions involving Iran.

The government is expected to evaluate the possible effects of the crisis on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and crude oil supplies, and discuss steps to ensure uninterrupted availability of fuel and essential commodities across the country.

Officials said the Centre may also advise states to strengthen contingency planning, maintain adequate stock of essential goods, and closely monitor local supply systems to prevent shortages or panic buying.

The meeting comes at a time when escalating tensions in West Asia are raising concerns about global energy markets, prompting the Indian government to review national preparedness and coordination with state authorities.
