Karra, Mir to skip Omar’s emergency meet due to Delhi engagements

Srinagar, Apr 04: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Hameed Karra and senior party leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir will skip the emergency meeting of ruling alliance legislators convened by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on today, citing prior commitments in New Delhi.

Karra confirmed their absence, stating, “We arrived in Delhi yesterday to attend the organizational meeting of all district presidents, and today is the session for J&K. Both I and Ghulam Ahmad Mir will skip the meeting in Srinagar due to this.”

However, other Congress legislators from Jammu and Kashmir will attend the meeting, which is scheduled to be held at the Deputy Chief Minister’s Fairview residence in Gupkar, Srinagar, he added. (KDC)
