Student Charred to Death, Three Injured as Massive Fire Engulfs Shah-i-Hamdan Darul Uloom Tral

Pulwama, Apr 6: A major fire broke out at Shah-i-Hamdan Darul Uloom in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district late Saturday night, charing a student to death and injuries to three others.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the blaze triggered panic among the students and staff, prompting an immediate response from the Fire and Emergency Services, who brought the flames under control and prevented further damage.

One student identified as 12-year-old Yasir Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmad, a resident of Karmulla Tral, was charred to death in the incident. Three other students sustained injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment, the officials said.

The cause of the fire is not known yet while Police has taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation taken. (JKNS)
