PDP Holds Zonal Cadre Meeting in Baramulla ; Calls for Intensified Preparations for Upcoming Elections

Baramulla, June 29:The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Baramulla unit today held a crucial meeting of its zonal cadre workers at the scenic Eco-Park Baramulla. The meeting was presided over by PDP District President Baramulla, Mr. Mohd Rafique Rather and was attended by DDC and Women’s wing President Er.Razia, ZP Gh.Rasool Bhat. Social Mefia head Mohd Shafi Bhat, Vice zp Ab.Hamid Bhat. Sec. Imtiyaz Lone. Town head Mohd Ashraf Rather.vp Bashir Bhat, M.Amin Rather, Ab Majid Zarger, Sheikh Mushtaq, Gh.Qadir Lone.G.M Dar.all block presidents besides witnessed enthusiastic participation from zonal office bearers,Block oooice bearers and grassroots party workers.

The meeting began with a comprehensive review of the prevailing political and administrative scenario in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Speakers from across various blocks of Baramulla expressed deep concern and disappointment over the performance of the incumbent National Conference (NC)-led administration, stating that it has failed on all frontsโ€”be it governance, development, or addressing public grievances.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Rafique Rather called upon all zonal office bearers to gear up for the forthcoming local body and panchayat elections. He urged the cadre to intensify outreach efforts and ensure greater public engagement in the coming months. A special emphasis was laid on accelerating the ongoing membership drive to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

The participants unanimously expressed satisfaction with the working and leadership of Mr. Rafique Rather, praising his proactive and inclusive approach since assuming charge as District President. His appointment was hailed as a step that has reinvigorated the partyโ€™s organizational structure in the in the District and in particular in Baramulla Assembly segment.

In a significant move, the meeting also resolved to hold a major workersโ€™ convention in Baramulla soon. The date and venue for the event will be finalized in the coming days, and it is expected to serve as a key mobilization platform ahead of the upcoming elections.

Throughout the proceedings, the speakers also lauded the dynamic and courageous leadership of PDP President Ms. Mehbooba Mufti, terming her a beacon of hope for the people of Jammu and Kashmir in these challenging times.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to uphold the partyโ€™s vision and work tirelessly for the betterment of the people of Baramulla and the wider region.
