IAF’s Jaguar fighter jet crashes near Churu in Rajasthan: Defence officials

A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) has crashed near Churu district of Rajasthan, said the Defence officials on Wednesday (July 9, 2025).

The aircraft had taken off from Suratgarh base and crashed in an agriculture field in Bhanoda village around 1.25 p.m., Station House Officer Rajaldesar Kamlessh told PTI.

The fate of the pilot is not yet known, added the Defence officials.

Shortly after the crash, locals rushed to the site and found burning debris.

Policemen from Rajaldesar and Ratangarh police stations, the fire brigade and an ambulance also rushed to the spot, said Anil Kumar, Circle Officer of Ratangarh.

The area has been cordoned off.
