Trump Repeats ‘5 Jets Downed’ Claim, Says ‘India-Pak War Was Probably Going To End Up Nuclear’

Once again on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump was back with his claims that “he stopped the war” between India and Pakistan. Reiterating his trade warning during the India-Pakistan hostilities, the US President again stated that five jets were shot down in May when tensions escalated between the two nuclear-powered countries.

He also claimed that the conflict between India and Pakistan “was probably going to end up in a nuclear war”.

“We have stopped wars between India and Pakistan. They were probably going to end up in a nuclear war. They shot down five planes in the last attack. It was back and forth, back and forth. I called them and I said no more trade if you do this. They are both powerful nuclear nations,” Trump said, adding, “Who knows where that would have ended up, and I stopped it…”

Since May, Trump has time and again taken credit for mediating the India and Pakistan war. While Pakistan gave him credit for his mediation, India has outrightly rejected the claims.

Last week as well, the US President stated that around 4-5 jets were shot down during the India-Pakistan hostilities following the Pahalgam terror activity.

However, the US President has not specified whether the jets belonged to India or Pakistan.

‘Stopped More Conflicts’
In addition to India-Pakistan war, Trump claimed the US took out Iran’s entire nuclear capability and also stopped the conflict between Kosovo and Serbia.

“And a couple of others that we didn’t stop a war, but we stopped what probably could have ended up in a war. We do that on the House as compliment of America. Okay, do you think (former US President Joe) Biden would do that? I don’t think so. Do you think he ever heard of any of those countries? I don’t think so,” Trump said.(Agencies)
