Army Jawan Injured in Ongoing Kulgam Gunfight

Srinagar, Aug 2: An Army personnel sustained injuries during an ongoing encounter between security forces and militants in the Akhal forest area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner – KNC that the injured soldier has been evacuated to a medical facility for treatment.

The gunfight, which began on Friday evening after security forces launched a cordon and search operation based on specific inputs, is still underway. (KNC)
