NC-BJP war of words heats up;Deputy CM Calls LoP Sharma a ‘Lollipop Leader’

Srinagar, Oct 09: A day after Leader of Opposition Sunil Kumar Sharma slammed National Conference over governance and human rights, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary on Wednesday called him a “lollipop leader.”

Speaking to reporters, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Choudhary described him as a lollipop leader. “If you conduct his narco test, he would even demand statehood,” he said.

He said the flood-affected people of Jammu have been left in lurch by BJP. “You ask the LoP leader, you should ask the lollipop leader-he talks every day and blames us. Jammu province was devastated by floods.

The same Jammu province that gave you 28 seats. Houses were destroyed, crops ruined, roads washed away, and people lost their savings and jewellery for weddings.

Have you (BJP) paid them compensation? They don’t dare to venture among the people and only speak to media,” he said.

The BJP-PDP alliance is still intact,” he said, adding that the people of Jammu and Kashmir would never forgive Mehbooba Mufti for destroying the region’s special status.
