AIP Fields Nazir Ahmad Khan for Budgam Bypolls

Budgam October 11: The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) has announced Nazir Ahmad Khan as its candidate for the upcoming Budgam bypolls.


Khan, a seasoned political figure, previously served as the District Development Council (DDC) Chairman in Budgam.

He had contested the last Assembly elections from the Beerwah constituency, where he secured around 16,000 votes.

Party spokesperson Inam un Nabi said Khan’s nomination reflects AIP’s strategy to strengthen its base in central Kashmir.

His experience in local governance and strong presence in Beerwah are seen as key factors behind the decision.

The National Conference and People’s Democratic Party has betrayed People and failed to kept their promises, we are hopeful People of budgam won’t fall in the trap again,he added.(KNS)
