One Labourer Dead, Another Injured in Tangmarg After Unloading Marble Sheets

Tangmarg, Oct 21: A tragic incident occurred in Tangmarg on Tuesday when two labourers were unloading marble sheets from a truck. One labourer lost his life, while another sustained injuries in the mishap.

The deceased has been Aasif Ahmad, aged 36, a resident of Karnah, Kupwara another injured identified as Faisal Ahmed, son of Habib Ullah, a resident of Kupwara, aged 21.

According to reports, the accident took place when heavy marble sheets accidentally slipped during unloading, causing fatal injuries to Faisal Ahmed. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Aasif Ahmad is currently undergoing treatment.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under Section 194 BNSS at Police Station Tangmarg. Further investigation is underway.(Agencies)
