NC and Congress MLAs Stage Silent Protest in J&K Assembly Demanding Release of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik

Srinagar, Oct 23: National Conference (NC) and Congress legislators held a silent protest inside the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Thursday, demanding the release of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that the protest was conducted before the start of assembly proceedings to draw attention to the issue.

NC and Congress members raised placards and observed a brief sit-in, urging the government to ensure Malik’s immediate release.

The placards mentioned “Respect the Vote, Respect the Voice, Free Mehraj Malik”

The NC and Congress MLAs emphasized that such steps are necessary to safeguard democratic norms and the rights of elected representatives. (KNC)
