PDP candidate leads by over 1000 votes in Budgam bypoll after 4th round

Srinagar: As counting of votes progresses for the Budgam bypoll, People’s Democratic Party candidate Aga Syed Muntazir has taken a significant lead of 1091 votes from National Conference candidate Aga Syed Mahmood after the fourth round.

According to figures available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), PDP’s Muntazir Mehdi has secured 5,117 votes, while National Conference candidate Aga Syed Mahmood Al-Mosavi has polled 4,026 votes.

Muntazir has taken a significant lead of 1091 votes after the fourth round.

Independent candidate Mohd Sameer Bhat follows with 1,862 votes, AIP-backed candidate Nazir Ahmad Khan has bagged 1,407 votes so far, while independent candidate Jibran Dar has got 1,228 votes—(KNO)
