Govt will provide every possible support to those affected in Nowgam blast: CM Omar

Srinagar, Nov 15: The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said that government will provide all possible support to those affected in Nowgam accidental blast.

The CM also directed health minister Sakina Itoo to ensure the best treatment for the injured, and assured the structures who got damaged in the accidental blast will be duly compensated.

Taking to micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter), Office of Chief Minister J&K said: “Chief Minister has assured that the Government stands firmly with the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic Nowgam Police Station explosion and will provide every possible support to them”.

“He has also directed the Health Minister Sakina Itoo to ensure the best treatment for the injured and assured that the damaged structures will be duly compensated,” the post on X added.

Pertinently nine people were killed and over 30 injured in last night’s explosion at Police Station Nowgam, where a large quantity of explosives seized in a recent case was being sampled for forensic examination.
