Live Chinese Grenade Recovered During CASO In Tappar Kreeri, Baramulla

Baramulla, Nov 19: Security forces recovered a live Chinese grenade during a routine cordon-and-search operation (CASO) in the Tappar Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.

A senior police officer said that the operation was jointly launched by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Kreeri and the 2nd Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at the Agricultural Seed Forum in Tappar Kreeri.

During the searches, a live Chinese grenade was recovered from an orchard adjacent to the forum. The explosive has been taken into possession by police, officer added.
Further investigation is underway. —(KNC)
