Srinagar: Asia’s Largest Tulip Garden Opens for Visitors

Srinagar, Mar 16: Marking the arrival of spring in Kashmir, Asia’s largest tulip garden was opened to the public on Monday by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister .

The famous , located at the foothills of the and overlooking the scenic , was formally thrown open for visitors as the Valley welcomed the spring season.

Spread across terraced slopes, the garden is expected to attract thousands of tourists, nature lovers, and photographers from across the country and abroad during the blooming period. Officials said that more than 70 varieties of tulips have been planted this year.

In addition to tulips, several other spring flowers including hyacinths, daffodils, muscari, and ranunculus have also been planted to enhance the garden’s beauty and add diversity to the floral display.

The opening of the tulip garden traditionally signals the start of Kashmir’s tourism season, drawing large numbers of visitors every year.

Authorities have made extensive arrangements to handle the expected rush of visitors. These include transport facilities, parking arrangements, security deployment, and other visitor amenities to ensure a smooth experience during the blooming season.
