Srinagar Airport Operations to Be Restricted Till 5 PM from April 6 Due to Runway Works

Srinagar, Mar 27 : Flight operations at Srinagar Airport will witness temporary changes from April 6 as runway works are set to commence, leading to restricted operational hours, officials said on Friday.

An airport official told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that currently around 60 flight movements, including arrivals and departures, are being handled daily between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

“However, as per a NOTAM issued by the Indian Air Force, the operational hours for scheduled flights will be restricted till 5:00 PM from April 6 to July 31, 2026, in view of runway maintenance works,” the official said.

He added that despite reduced watch hours, the number of flight movements is expected to increase in accordance with the DGCA-approved Summer Schedule, with airlines adjusting their operations within the revised timings.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has assured that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure safe and smooth travel, while passengers have been advised to rely on official updates and avoid unverified information. (KNC)
