Suspected Pakistani Balloon Recovered Near Border in Jammu’s Arnia Sector

Jammu, April 11: A suspected Pakistani balloon was recovered early Saturday from Sardari Playground near Garore Nala in the Arnia sector of Jammu, prompting a security response, officials said.

The object was sighted at around 6:55 a.m. within the jurisdiction of Border Police Post Sai, following which a police team rushed to the location and secured the area.

The balloon, described as green and white in color, was found lying on the ground and was subsequently taken into custody by the police team.

Officials said the recovered object has been shifted to Border Police Post Sai, where it is being kept for examination in accordance with established procedures.

The recovery comes from a border area where security agencies remain on alert, and such sightings are treated with caution.

Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the origin and intent of the object.

Authorities have also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects or activities to the nearest police unit. [KNT]
