10 injured as newly Constructed bridge Collapses in Baramulla

Baramulla, June 25 : At least 10 persons were injured after a newly constructed bridge collapsed at New Bypass in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday, officials said.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the bridge collapsed in shortly after its completion.

He said 10 persons were injured in the incident and they were immediately shifted to district hospital Baramulla for treatment.

Among them, one person who sustained a spinal injury was referred to a hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment, he added.

Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident and are assessing the cause behind the bridge collapse—(KNO)
