LG Manoj Sinha, CM Omar Abdullah Pay Tributes to Imam Hussain (AS) and Martyrs of Karbala on Ashura

Srinagar, June 26: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah paid rich tributes to Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala on the occasion of Ashura.

In his message, LG Manoj Sinha said that the supreme sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions remains a timeless symbol of truth, justice, humanity, and courage. He urged people to embrace the universal message of Karbala and contribute towards building a peaceful, harmonious, and just society.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that the tragedy of Karbala stands as an enduring example of steadfastness against oppression and unwavering commitment to truth. He said Imam Hussain’s (AS) sacrifice continues to inspire humanity to uphold justice, brotherhood, moral values, and righteousness.

Both leaders also prayed for peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Ashura.
