“We Haven’t Forgotten”: Omar Abdullah Says NC Committed To Reversing What Was Done To J&K On Aug 5

Srinagar, Aug 5 : National Conference Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said the party remains committed to reversing the decisions taken on August 5, 2019 that “took away our rights and threaten our identity.”

In a post on X, as per GNS, Abdullah wrote, “7 years, we haven’t forgotten & we haven’t reconciled far less accepted our current circumstances. My party & I remain committed to reversing all that was done to J&K that took away our rights & threatens our identity.”

He ended his message with lines from Robert Frost’s poem, “The woods are lovely, dark & deep. But I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep.”

The remarks come as J&K marks seven years since the abrogation of Article 370 and the bifurcation of the erstwhile state.(GNS)
