Panic grips Jammu railway station after hoax bomb call

Jammu, June 02: Panic gripped Jammu Railway Station on Sunday evening after a hoax call from an unknown caller falsely claimed the presence of a bomb at the station.

Speaking to a newspaper , an official said, “A hoax call was received from an unknown caller regarding the presence of a bomb or explosive at Jammu Railway Station last evening.”
The official added that authorities conducted a thorough search of the entire station premises, but nothing suspicious was found.

“Realising the sensitivity of the information, Jammu Police, along with Railway Police, acted swiftly. The entire area of the railway station was thoroughly searched, checked, and cleared. Fortunately, nothing suspicious was found,” the official said.

He further stated that the process of identifying the caller is currently underway.
