Jammu, March 10: A militant was killed after the army foiled an infiltration attempt in the Jhangar area of Nowshera in Rajouri district on Tuesday.

According to the army’s White Knight Corps, acting on credible intelligence inputs from intelligence agencies, the movement of two militants was detected in the general area of Jhangar, Nowshera along the Line of Control (LoC) at around 3 pm on March 10.

Alert troops swiftly responded with calibrated combat action and engaged the militants, successfully thwarting the infiltration attempt. During the ensuing encounter, one Pakistani-sponsored militant was killed, preventing any breach of the LoC.
