Israel–Lebanon Agree to 10-Day Ceasefire, Trump Says

A 10-day ceasefire between and is set to begin within hours, according to , who announced the development on Thursday.

Trump said the ceasefire will take effect at 5 p.m. EST, following what he described as “excellent conversations” with Lebanese President and Israeli Prime Minister .

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that both leaders had agreed to halt hostilities temporarily in an effort to “achieve peace” between the two countries. He also claimed that his administration is actively working toward a broader and lasting peace agreement.
