J&K Administration Bans Inflammatory Social Media Content for 60 Days in Jammu

Jammu, April 17: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has imposed a 60-day ban on posting or sharing communally sensitive and inflammatory content on social media platforms across Jammu district, citing concerns over public order and communal harmony.

District Magistrate issued the order under Section 163 of the (BNSS). The order strictly prohibits posting, uploading, sharing, or forwarding any text, image, video, audio, meme, graphic, or reel that promotes enmity, hatred, or ill-will between communities based on religion, race, caste, language, or region.
